Georgetown
Pediatrics provides medical and surgical care to neonates, children and
adolescents up to age 20 in our Neonatal ICU, General Pediatric Unit, and the
Pediatric ICU and Pediatric Transplant Units. We are proud of the child-friendly
atmosphere and our excellent Child-life and social work team. A play area
uniquely designed as a train station is bustling with action.
We
are also
proud to offer 38-channel Direct TV cable, VCR, DVD Player and
wireless Internet connection. Our dedicated professional nursing staff has been awarded the
prestigious Magnet Recognition Award (the only nursing team in the District to
gain this award) and our NICU staff was awarded the Advance Nursing unit of the
year award for the Baltimore-Washington Area. With guidance from our Parent
Advisory Board, we are committed to practice Family Centered Care, involving the
patient and the family in decision making and viewing them as an integral part
of the health care team.
